Went in at first light with two others. The main hall is more intact than the photos suggest — the collapse everyone posts about is confined to the east wing. Floor is sound if you stay on the joists. We were out in ninety minutes and saw nobody.

The record
A small chapel beneath the Cemetery Church of All Saints. Its ossuary holds the remains of an estimated 40,000-70,000 people, arranged into furnishings — including a chandelier using every bone in the human body — by the woodcarver František Rint in 1870.

Paint has come off the walls in sheets, curled like bark. The known history covers perhaps two thirds of what you are standing in. Beyond that the record thins into municipal paperwork and hearsay, and then into nothing at all.

The 1963 date is off by a year in most sources. The municipal record says otherwise, I can dig out the reference.
