The record
A residential and industrial complex in wooded country north-west of Pripyat, built up through successive five-year plans and never fully vacated. Surveys to date cover only its northern estate, Troyeshchyna — courtyards of nine-storey panel blocks behind PO-2 concrete fencing. A dense ground fog holds through most of the year, and a nearby plant vents each autumn.
